Swimming through the muck
There is nothing quite like making your way, with snorkel and mask, through a narrow channel of silt and muck, and finding your way after fifteen minutes of terror, into a lovely and deep gem of a pond. Exactly how this relates to work, I am not sure, but the tiny curious fish, the large wary trout, the rare snapping (?) turtle, and even the simple act of surmounting a deep-rooted fear, make lake snorkeling an experience not to be missed.
